Locally and Statewide, Dudley Supports the Arts
“I have seen first-hand the impact that the Nebraska Cultural Endowment has on our community,” said Michelle Dudley, resident of Norfolk, NE. “I have observed how funding from the NCE helps to strengthen and sustain our organization,”
After serving on the board of the Nebraska Cultural Endowment for four years, Michelle appreciates the organization’s direct impact on her community in Norfolk. “Through the Endowment’s funding, over 8,000 students were able to attend live nationally-recognized performances,” she said. “For some, it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
Art influences and shapes our culture and stimulates the economy. It is the universal language that reaches every part of our state and community.
Michelle Dudley
Board Member, Nebraska Cultural Endowment
Michelle’s involvement spans both statewide through the NCE and locally through Norfolk’s vibrant community. She has served on the board of the Norfolk Arts Center beginning in the 1990’s and went on to serve as its President. “Art influences and shapes our culture and stimulates the economy,” she said. “It is the universal language that reaches every part of our state and community.”
Not only does Michelle support the NCE through ongoing advocacy in her own community, she also generously supports the Endowment through a generous gift structured as a five-year pledge. “How inspiring that making a monetary gift to the NCE is matched by a state fund,” she said. “Nebraska is the only state that is able to make this work. What a great way to expand the impact of our donation.”
Michelle’s endless advocacy and support of the arts is truly remarkable. “I invest my time and resources in the NCE not just because it is the right thing to do, but because I believe in the Nebraska Cultural Endowment’s mission and leadership,” she said. “I am grateful to be part of the present and the future of Nebraska’s arts and humanities.”
