Bob Nefsky Shows Passion for Sustaining Arts, Humanities
“The Arts and Humanities are one of the principal things that reflect the era and generations in which we live,” said Bob Nefsky, a Lincoln attorney and a founder of the Nebraska Cultural Endowment. “The one thing that will survive us is the arts, culture, and humanities.”
Bob first became involved with the arts and humanities when he volunteered to help revise the Humanities Nebraska bylaws around 1990, and went on to serve on Humanities Nebraska’s Council and Foundation boards for several years. He has steadily supported the arts and humanities in Nebraska for more than 30 years now and has served as president of the Nebraska Cultural Endowment and Chair of both the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Humanities Council.
Not only does he support the Nebraska Cultural Endowment and its partners through advocacy and annual support, Bob will continue his generous support to the Endowment as a Legacy Donor through a structured planned gift, which names NCE as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy.
The arts and humanities are a way to gauge what’s going on, what people are thinking, and how people express themselves. Supporting the Nebraska Cultural Endowment through a legacy gift means supporting all art forms and humanities for years to come.

Board Member, Nebraska Cultural Endowment
“I was approached by the Endowment about a legacy gift, to which I enthusiastically agreed,” he said. “The arts and humanities are a way to gauge what’s going on, what people are thinking, and how people express themselves. Supporting the Nebraska Cultural Endowment through a legacy gift means supporting all art forms and humanities for years to come.”
Bob’s continued support for the arts through advocacy and passion shines through with everything he does for NCE. He said, “The Endowment attracts participants and donors who are extremely generous, who provide the glue that keeps the arts and humanities alive in Nebraska.”
